Support Groups in New York
The greatest fear of being diagnosed with – or having someone you care about be diagnosed with – a serious health condition is often the fear of the unknown. Many of our member charities host support groups for patients and their loved ones living in the state of New York. Health Insurance Options
If you have lost your job and/or do not qualify for health insurance under an employer plan, there are several options available to you as a resident of New York. There are also health insurance options specifically for children residing in the state of New York.

Free STI/STD Clinics in New York City

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene offers testing for STIs/STDs (sexually transmitted infections/sexually transmitted diseases) at its free clinics located throughout the five buroughs.

Partnership for Prescription Assistance

The Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) is the largest private-sector effort dedicated to helping patients in need find ways to access prescription medicines for little or no cost through patient assistance programs. The partnership brings together America’s pharmaceutical research companies and more than 1,300 national, state and local organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Emergency Physicians, National Association of Chain Drug Stores, and the Urban League.
